Privacy Policy — Updrift
Last updated: 31 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Updrift (“the game”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you play the game on Android. By using Updrift you agree to this policy.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information: If you sign in, we use Google Sign-In via Firebase Authentication, which provides your email address and basic profile name to create your account.
- Username: A display name you choose inside the game.
- Game progress: Scores, high scores, coins, owned skins/themes, missions, level and statistics, stored in Google Cloud Firestore so your progress can sync across devices and appear on the leaderboard.
- Advertising data: We show ads through Google AdMob, which may collect your device’s advertising identifier and related data to serve and measure ads.
- Usage and analytics data: We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the game is played — for example how often runs are started, which screens are opened, and whether rewarded ads are watched. This includes your device model, operating system version, app version and a randomly generated app instance identifier. It does not include your name, email address, or the content of anything you write.
- Approximate location: Google AdMob and Google Analytics for Firebase derive a coarse location (country or region level) from your IP address, in order to serve relevant ads and to report usage by country. The game never requests or accesses precise or GPS location.
- Local data: Some settings and progress are stored locally on your device.
2. How We Use Information
- To create and manage your account and save your game progress.
- To display leaderboards and personal records.
- To show advertisements and reward you (e.g., extra gold, revive).
- To understand how the game is played and where players stop, so we can improve it.
- To operate, maintain, and improve the game.
3. Third-Party Services
We rely on the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Data is shared only with the third-party services listed above as needed to operate the game. Your chosen username and high score may be visible to other players on the public leaderboard.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
We keep your account data while your account exists. You can delete your account and associated cloud data at any time from the game’s settings (account deletion), which removes your stored progress from our database. You may also uninstall the game to remove locally stored data.
6. Children’s Privacy
Updrift is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.
7. Security
We use Google’s secure infrastructure (Firebase) to store data. While no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
